Several friends and I have joked about the Shake Weight after seeing it on TV and on the classic Ellen clip. There was even a 2nd clip once the makes of the Shake Weight came out with a men's version which is "longer and bigger".
There's no shortage of videos mocking the product, and I will admit, most of them are downright hysterical.
But when it came time to see if the product would work, I could not seem to find a review answering the questions I had.
Most reviews online state that it won't burn fat and you won't lose weight. Well, duh. It wasn't really made to replace your entire workout routine or to use in lieu of running and weight lifting. It was meant for toning.
I've recently lost weight and am to a point right now where I'm what I consider to be "skinny fat". In that I'm not overweight (I'm in the 130s and I'm 5'8") but I'm lacking muscle definition and toning.
So I thought, why not?!
I bought the Shake Weight today and took some "before" pics.
I'm going to do this for 6 minutes a day every day and update weekly to say how it's going with new pics. hopefully we'll see a difference :)
In the end, hopefully this page will help you decide if this is the right product for you.
Or, you know, worst case scenario... if I have no obvious results at all, it will help me determine what to price it at for my next garage sale ;)
